Field Network Maintenance

Maintenance As A Service:

  • Monthly Service Fee

  • Variable Team Size, Customer Specific, Agreed SLA

  • Rapid response to faults, detection of fibre line faults, emergency correction of faults, splicing, testing and commissioning

Fibre Repair Teams:

  • We provide a team with vehicle consisting of a splicer, an assistant and two helpers

  • Equipment consists of Splicing machine, OTDR, Power Meter, Portable Genset and supporting tools.

Splicing and Termination of Optical Fiber Cable (OFC):

  • Maintenance of OFC routes 24/7 for Routine OFC Maintenance and Breakdown OFC Maintenance

  • O&M team has a supervisor, splicer, patroller and a helper for every range defined by customer

Fibre Network Maintenance Service Options

Preventive and Corrective Monitoring and Maintenance:

  • As defined by the SLA / SOW

  • Proactive Route Patrolling aimed atpreventing cable disruptions along thefibre routes daily on fixed stretch

  • All fibers are tested for the block sections and reported every month

  • Any defects in the fiber or in any ofthe associated equipment is attended to, in consultation with the Customer at site

  • Repeater stations and the optical equipment installed for alarms aremonitored

Breakdown Fibre Maintenance:

  • 24/7 mobilization of equipment and skilled manpower

  • Fault finding and identify location

  • Determine the impact of the breakage and prioritisation of traffic (client)

  • Deployment of O&M teams to carry out Splicing and Termination of OpticalFiber Cable

  • Temporary restoration of mission critical traffic

  • Fibre blowing into existing fibre channels

  • Fibre splcing to specification

  • Civil work, e.g. road closures, trenching, building man holes, way leaves,and floating

  • Test link attributes like the splice loss/link loss after the rectification offault are corrected

  • Undertake assessment to identify future risk to the network and propose apermanent solution
